Tripura state electricity corporation limited - Unethical disconnection of electricity

We applied for a temporary electrical connection for ** days at our factory site on **th January for which we paid INR **** in advance and got a payment receipt. The temporary connection was till **th February midnight and we were advised to apply for an industrial connection in the meantime. We applied for the industrial connection on *th February with all required documents and the area manager visited our factory site on *th February for the load assessment and physical verification. We received the industrial connection estimate on **th February against which we submitted an amount of INR **** at the office cash section on the same day and got a payment receipt of the same. The area manager also handed me a * phase meter box from the store and requested me to hand over it to the Mohanpur office with an assurance that I don’t need to follow up any further on this and the temporary connection would be converted into an industrial connection on papers and the connection wire would be changed when the linemen are available. Now on **nd February our electricity connection was unethically disconnected without any information and prior notice. Then when we inquired at the office we were informed that our electricity connection was not converted to an industrial connection as assured and the temporary connection continued. We were asked to deposit an amount of INR **** as temporary connection charges till **st February and only then our permanent connection would be provided. This was a complete surprise as we didn’t request for an extension of the temporary connection and were under the impression that we were using our permanent connection as assured by you and the area manager. The situation has caused us the severe loss of business and goodwill which we want you to take note of and ensure providing the electrical connection at the earliest without any further delay.
