Mobiquick - Unauthorized Transaction of INR 7000 from MobiKwik Wallet Due to Fraud Immediate Refund Required

On June **, ****, at *:** AM IST, an unauthorized transaction of INR **** was deducted from my MobiKwik wallet (Transaction ID: **********) due to a fraudulent scam.

A fraudster, operating under the Telegram handle @seller**** and WhatsApp channel (https://whatsapp.com/channel/****VatrJiX*WHTYVYIKW**I), contacted me offering a gift card. During a video call,

they tricked me into displaying my MobiKwik balance on another phone to “verify the app’s authenticity.” Unknowingly, I showed the OTP displayed on my device, which the fraudster used via the “Request Money” feature to siphon INR **** from my wallet. Immediately after, they blocked me on both platforms.This incident highlights MobiKwik’s failure to secure its platform against such scams.



Their OTP system and “Request Money” feature allowed the fraudster to exploit my account easily, indicating a severe lapse in security protocols. Despite reporting the issue to MobiKwik’s customer care (via email and calls to ***-**** ****),


I have received no resolution or refund. I have also filed a complaint with the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (Acknowledgement Number: **************) on June **, ****, but MobiKwik has not cooperated.


Impact:
This fraudulent deduction of INR **** has caused me significant financial distres.
