I bought the above mentioned car from Lakshmi TATA Motors based on the brochure the dealer provided me. It said the Range is *** km with full charge. The car was delivered on **th June ****. The dealer already drove the car for more than ** km and I could not see the specified range at the time of delivery. The same week while I was driving I felt something was not right as the Range was going down rapidly. I took the car back to dealer a week after and charged to ***%, at my expense, at the dealer’s charging station. The cluster display showed only *** km with ***% charge. Right away I showed this to all the concerned people at dealership and said the car is not what TATA Motors claims to be. The dealers said they will look into it and asked me to continue driving. Meanwhile, there was a problem with windshield washer which they tried to fix. Right after that the vent switch for passenger seat went inside. I took the car to the dealer and they sent me to their workshop on ECR. The then service manager said they have to order a part and it would take * to * weeks. Same time I mentioned about the Range problem too. The manager said that they would fix that also when the car goes back to get the switch fixed. He said they would need the car for a day and drive ** km to update the software. I agreed. After this I did not drive the car.
The car went to workshop on August *, **** with ODO meter reading of *** km (still a brand new car). Three weeks later service manager called me to pick up the car. I asked him if the range shows as specified with ***% charge. He said it did not. So I refused to take the car back. Few visits to workshop to check the car yielded no positive results. All Service manager provided was only arguments. Still, I refused to take the car back as the issue was not resolved.
In short, the car is still in Lakshmi Tata Motors workshop, from August *, **** to this date. The car is in that workshop for more than ** months and they still could not resolve the issue. They have driven the car for more than **** km. It appears that they were using my car for their own use. The way they ask me to drive the car is, without a/c, without load, without passengers, without any auxiliary items on, with maximum speed of ** km, etc.
In addition, many parts were missing from the brand new car. It appears that they have used many parts from my car to be used in other cars. They left the car so dirty under the hood, seats, trunk, etc. Plus, they scratched the car too at the rear right bumper. The car was very much abused.
I have pictures as evidence and I will attach some of them now and would be happy to provide more as you need.
