Kishan Kumar filed complaint against India Post on May 14, 2026
I booked a Speed Post article (Tracking No. EF*********IN) from Patna to Hyderabad containing important personal and office-related belongings including electronics and essential items.
Despite being booked under Speed Post service, the parcel was wrongly offloaded at Patna APTMO for unknown reasons and later transmitted through surface transport instead of air. The parcel was further misdirected towards Kolkata even though the destination was Hyderabad. During this time, the tracking system incorrectly reflected “Hyderabad PH”, causing confusion and unnecessary delay.
After repeated follow-ups and escalations, Hyderabad PH officially informed me through email that the article was marked as “Article Not Received - Short Bag”, confirming serious mishandling and operational negligence by India Post.
Because of this negligence:
I suffered severe mental stress and harassment
My sister had to repeatedly travel to Patna GPO and other postal offices for follow-up
I faced office-related difficulties due to delayed belongings
I spent significant time, money, and effort on calls, travel, complaints, and escalations
Although the parcel may eventually be delivered, the gross negligence, misrouting, false tracking updates, inconvenience, and harassment caused by India Post cannot be ignored.
Therefore, I seek compensation from India Post for:
Mental harassment and stress
Unnecessary travel expenses and inconvenience
Operational negligence and mishandling of Speed Post service
Deficiency in service and incorrect tracking information
I request appropriate compensation and accountability against the concerned postal authorities for the suffering caused due to this incident.
