Sony Centre - T Nagar, Chennai - Sony Centre, T.Nagar, Chennai, Delivered a used LED Television

I have purchased a Sony led tv model number **x****e, on **.**.****, after repeated stress that we want a brand new and sealed unit and only after getting assurance from Mr. naveen, store manager., we placed the order and paid the amount of Rs.******/- then retail price of the said model., through credit card, and got it delivered on **.**.****, the same was installed on **.**.****,seal of the delivered product is loose not properly sealed, when contacted the seller, he assured that the product delivered is new and unused, and assured if proved that it is used, he will replace it, I asked the tech. who installed the television, he said that the product might have been opened, but he cannot deliberate further, since the company policy, forbids techs., not to give such details, I invoked the service menu, and found that the television is used for *** hours and booted *** times., I am shocked, and complained to Sony India immediately, to my surprise they never replied even after repeated email complaints they I got the standard reply that the matter is with the concerned team and they are looking into it. Then I contacted the Sony Centre, T.Nagar, Chennai, the manager Mr.Naveen acknowledged that the said Unit is sent by warehouse by mistake. but offered to replace with the lower end model since the said model is out of stock and not available any where, since it is **** model, **** model costs ******/- he is not able to replace with the **** model unless the difference of price is paid by me. I feel cheated since the other well known store which offered new unit for nearly same price and the display piece of the same model for Rs.*****/- if bargained I could have got it reduced further, since I dont want a display/used unit I went for this store on trust and assurance that they will deliver a new and unused unit which proved futile. I have sent legal notice to the store as well as Sony India. Only Sony Centre, T.Nagar, Chennai Replied that they offer to refund the amount, but could not replace with the **** model, due to price difference. I feel cheated since the same model was available in most of the stores, I could have easily purchased new unit of the said model for the same price else were, if not given false assurance from Mr.Naveen of Sony Centre, T.Nagar, Chennai.
The premium price paid to own a Sony tv is huge, after all the hard earned money is spent on the purchase, if one came to know that the product is used one, I could not describe in words the mental agony I felt, and embarrassment in front of my friends and family.,
It is an eye opener for me, and to others, not to trust the Brand store of Sony since they started to cheat the customers, they are not genuine when compared to another well known retail chain, which openly said different price for the display unit and new one.
I have decided to approach district consumer forum, chennai for redressal
