Galaxy Smart watch - Smart Watch Issue

I purchased samsung smart watch active * on jan **** worth *****. it was nice working upto **/*/**** but suddenly it was not getting charged. I went to service center but the service center people are telling the water as entered into your watch. As per specification from company it is IP** water resistant. If water has entered means it is manufacture defect. But the service center people are telling it doesn't come under warranty and you have to pay **** Rs for repair.
