Complaint Regarding Mis-selling,
Misrepresentation and Fraudulent Collection of Money by Oberoi Privilege Club. I
am filing this complaint against Oberoi Privilege Club for misleading me into
purchasing their travel membership through false promises, misrepresentation of
benefits, and deliberate omission of important terms. On ** October ****, I was
invited to an event organized by the company at a Hotel Atithi hotel in
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, where they promised a “free gift” for attending. After
reaching the venue, they conducted a promotional session where their
representatives verbally assured me of several travel-related benefits, heavy
discounts, complimentary stays, and various offers. These benefits were used as
the primary reason to convince me to purchase their membership. However, at the
time of signing the agreement and taking payment through credit card EMI, they
did not mention all the promised benefits in the agreement. Many key features
discussed verbally were completely missing, altered, or downplayed in the written
contract. I later realized that the written terms did not match what was presented
to me verbally. After reviewing the actual membership details and attempting to
access the promised benefits, I discovered that: The benefits verbally promised
were false, exaggerated, or unavailable. The membership does not provide the
services that were explained during the sales presentation. I was intentionally
pressured and misled through a “limited time offer” tactic. The company refused to
acknowledge the verbal commitments after payment. The service is clearly missold, amounting to unfair trade practice, cheating, and financial loss. This is a clear
case of misrepresentation, unfair business practice, and inducement under false
promises. I have suffered financial loss, mental harassment, and breach of trust
because the company did not deliver what they claimed during the sales pitch. I
request the authority to kindly take action and direct the company to: Cancel the
membership immediately Provide a full refund of the amount paid- *****(**** by
Debit Card and **,*** by Credit Card EMI) Stop all EMIs charged to my credit
card Take necessary action against the company for unfair trade practices I am
attaching all relevant evidence including invitations, payment proof, agreement
copy, communications, and details of the benefits promised vs. what was actually
provided. I request urgent intervention in this matter.
