What Happened?

I had booked a stay at The Lalit Ashok Bangalore for a special occasion, expecting a seamless experience from a reputed five-star hotel. However, my stay was marred by multiple service failures, mismanagement, and unfulfilled commitments, which significantly impacted my experience.

Despite prior arrangements, I faced an hour-long check-in delay, unprofessional staff behavior, and a complete lack of birthday arrangements, even though I had informed the hotel well in advance. The promised cake and snacks were never delivered, and my repeated requests to speak with a manager were ignored.

The room was unhygienic, with stained bedspreads, missing amenities, and inadequate toiletries for triple occupancy. At the poolside, despite multiple requests, no robes were provided. Overall, the hotel failed to deliver even basic hospitality standards, causing significant distress.

How I Have Been Victimized?
*. Emotional Distress & Disappointment – My special occasion was ruined due to poor service, lack of accountability, and negligence.
*. Breach of Commitment – The hotel promised certain services but failed to deliver, including birthday arrangements.
*. Financial Loss – I paid a premium for a five-star experience but received subpar service, which did not justify the cost.
*. Unprofessional & Unresponsive Management – Despite multiple escalations, senior management ignored my concerns and offered inadequate compensation (a mere room upgrade and half-kg cake), which does not address the inconvenience I faced.

Resolution Sought

Since the hotel’s response has been inadequate, I demand fair compensation, including:
• A refund of my stay OR
• A complimentary stay with assured service improvements, along with spa and dining vouchers

If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to escalate it further to consumer protection forums, legal authorities, and social media platforms to ensure accountability.
