BMW Motorrad India - Service and Product Issue

Purchase/Delivery Date : **th Aug **** (With Temporary Registration) BMW - G***R

Denied for permanent registration by saying that I need to be a resident of Gurugram to get it registered under Gurugram RTO. Although it is possible to register the vehicle with a legal rent agreement.
Handling charges were imposed even though the bike was delivered at the showroom itself.


First Complaint : **th Aug ****
Details: Hose Pipe Leaked/Cut due to leg guard fitting

Bike Delivered On : **st October **** - (After *-* visits and persuasion through digital medium e.g. whatsapp & phone call)
Feedback : No commitment for service and bike delivery(Poor service).



Second Complaint : *th January **** -
Details : Bike’s left foot peg bolts cracked in half due to poor quality of product which lead to exhaust bend pipe crack.

Bike Delivered On : **nd February **** (Pick up from Lutyens Showroom after waiting for *-* hours)

Feedback :

Exhaust replaced with an old exhaust of other bike of different model
Clutch wire was replaced but clutch play was not adjusted although I paid the labour
Gear shifting problem still persisting
Chain adjustment was not done as lubing and cleaning was not done although paid for the same.
Only the left front fork seal was replaced, they were suggesting to replace both when I was ready to pay, but under warranty they can only do one.
Battery was not diagnosed as it was still having the problem at that time. But they said they have inspected and the battery is OK.
I was charged for Air filter replacement but it was not changed.
Before the delivery they arranged *-* meetings, first with the CRM Ms. Summaiya, then their business head Mr Aman Kalra.
Mr Aman Kalra promised for battery replacement under warranty and free pick & drop.

Third Complaint : *rd March **** (Bike picked up by service center on * March ****)
Details :
Exhaust bolts loosened up due to service center negligence.
Air filter which was not replaced earlier.
Gears are sticky.
Battery has the same problem of not starting after *-* self-starts.
Number plate was not installed and RC was not provided.

Bike Delivered On : **th March **** (Pick up from service center)

Feedback :
Battery not replaced.
Number plate not installed
RC not provided
Old exhaust of different bike model (GS***)

Fourth Complaint : *th July ****
Details :
Bike’s RC not provided

Feedback: No response from the dealer/service center.

Fifth Complaint : *st December ****
Details :
Bike’s RC not provided.
Number plates not installed.
Battery was being replaced under warranty even though it was not working properly earlier prior to lockdown.

Feedback :
When I asked the service advisor for the current Business Head, he denied, which led to a heated argument in which the service advisor threatened me to meet outside the service center obviously I used some foul language as well due to frustration.
When asked the current service head Mr. Samarth for battery replacement under warranty, he told me that old commitments can not be fulfilled as the business head is changed now, also as he was a non-technical guy he did not understand the issue.
RC still not provided.

NOTE: During this interval there was continuous exchange of emails and meetings were scheduled at Lutyens Motorrad Showroom.
