I am Avula Suresh, a B.Tech final-year student. I joined the Nxtwave online course in November ****, which cost around ₹*.* lakh, paid through auto-debit EMI from my father’s bank account.
I paid EMIs regularly and attended classes without any issues till December ****. From January **** onwards, both my father and I suffered several serious health problems (*–* times), which led to severe financial struggles in our family. Due to this, we were unable to continue paying EMIs.
Currently, I have college fee dues of around ₹*.* lakh, and my college has not allowed me to attend classes or write exams, effectively putting my education and career at risk.
Because of these genuine health and financial issues, I have been requesting Nxtwave for course exit and EMI auto-debit cancellation for the past *–* months, but there has been no proper response.
Around ** days ago, one Nxtwave representative contacted me and said, “We will reach out soon for cancellation,” but no further response or resolution was provided.
When I joined, Nxtwave never informed me of any strict non-exit rules or refund terms. Now they are saying I must continue the course at any cost or pay all pending EMIs, which is unethical and unfair given my family’s condition.
So far, I have paid around ₹*.** lakh out of ₹*.* lakh, and ₹**,*** is pending. I have also sent my and my father’s medical reports seven times to Nxtwave as proof, yet no help has been provided.
Due to continuous auto-debit attempts by Varthana Bank, my father’s account went into zero balance and we incurred fines of around ₹*,***. Our CIBIL score has also been affected.
I have not attended classes for nearly *–** months, except for around **–** days during this period.
To be frank, I am eligible to get a refund for the last ** months during which I did not attend any classes, but I am not asking for that. I am only requesting the cancellation of my EMIs and course.
This entire situation has caused extreme mental and financial stress to me and my family. Both Nxtwave and Varthana Bank have failed to act on my genuine request despite multiple follow-ups and medical documentation.
