I (vijeswaran D) residing in Coimbatore and a regular customer of Reliance Digital store located inside the PROZONE MALL, Coimbatore. I have made numerous purchases for my family in your esteemed showroom and u can verify the same with my mail id.
The incident I wish to report happened on **.*.** @ around ****hrs. I visited the said showroom regarding purchase of Samsung galaxy watch * and while I was reviewing the watch suddenly the glass ( running from rooftop to floor)pasted in the indoor panel took off from the fixing paste and fell down with smashing sound and hit the nearby girl standing near me and myself.
The glass pieces ripped my face just beneath my left eye and girl standing near me got her back side of her head smashed with glass pieces. I tried to pull her from that position and moved right side of myself and girl was annoyed and she was asking wat hit her so bad and complaining of head ache. Meanwhile I noticed blood poring from my wound and with a help of a staff I walked to clinic situated outside the Mall but the doctor said the wound is deep and advised to rush to nearest hospital for treatment.
I took an auto and went to SIVA HOSPITAL situated in Ganapathy area. After administering of local anaesthesia I got the wound stitched.
This incident showcases the HIGHLY NEGLIGENT behaviour of staff since the glass wouldn't have come down suddenly and if suitable measures have been taken this untoward incident could have been completely avoided.
Now besides having severely injured I have to take treatment continuously to recover physically and from mental agony also. My request for handing over of cctv footage is also denied by the showroom manager.
Under this circumstances I request for suitable action to rectify the defective indoor panels which are more than eight years old since public like me are visiting the place with family and this type of incident decreases the confidence I have in reliance brand.
I also request you to kindly trace the poor girl and provide suitable medical treatment as I noticed showroom staff are busy in hiding the incident.
Also I request the company to compensate me and the affected girl for the physical and mental agony as per law.
