Livespace - Refund within 24 hours

Hi Kunal Agrawal (Business Manager), I am writing regarding my Livspace interior turnkey project (upto ₹**.** Lakhs) where I paid ₹*,**,*** advance via Google Pay UPI on * April **** at **:** PM IST — not even ** hours before raising cancellation. As per your official cancellation policy (effective ** March ****): https://www.livspace.com/in/interiors/service/service-cancellations#cancellations I raised immediate cancellation request in the Hub within the **-hour window for ***% cash refund to the original source. Reasons for cancellation: Presentation team could not provide even a single verified before-and-after photo or proof of any completed turnkey project. Site measurements have not been conducted or issued yet. No design finalisation, BoQ, or any execution has started. Recent feedback on X (Twitter) and other platforms is overwhelmingly negative regarding delays, poor service, and refund issues. I explicitly selected "Back to original source" and attached the UPI payment screenshot. According to the Hub screen, I am eligible for full cash refund to the same UPI account. However, instead of processing the cash refund, a ₹*,**,*** gift card was unilaterally generated in my profile on ** Apr ****. This is directly against your own policy displayed in the grievance screen and against my clear choice. I did not consent to any gift card or store credit. This action amounts to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, ****. Unilaterally converting the refund into a gift card also raises serious concerns under IT laws. My formal demand: Immediately cancel the gift card. Process the full ₹*,**,*** cash refund to my original Google Pay UPI-linked account without any deduction or delay. Provide written confirmation of refund initiation within ** hours.
