Livspace - Refund of the amount they took without any services

I am filing this complaint against Livspace (Mulund, Mumbai branch) for their unprofessional behavior, misleading commitments, and failure to refund even though they didn’t provide any services.
Details of the Incident:
*. I hired Livspace for my apartment’s full interior design and was assured by their representative that if I paid ₹*,**,*** instead of their usual ₹**,*** booking fee, they would immediately activate the team and start the work.
*. Trusting their promise, I paid ₹*,**,*** expecting the design and execution to commence without delay.
*. However, post-payment:
o No layout plans or *D designs were provided for *.* months.
o The designers only showed Pinterest images in meetings instead of presenting a professional design plan.
o Within a week of making the payment, I received an email stating that my project was put on hold for ** days—without any explanation or justification.
o When I inquired about this sudden project hold, I received no proper response, only vague reassurances about "escalation to another team."
Fraudulent and Unethical Business Practice:
• After I raised concerns and requested a refund due to their zero progress in * months.
• Livspace later claimed that they do not have a refund policy, but this policy was never shared with me before the payment - it was only mentioned after they had taken my ₹*,**,***.
• Additionally, putting my project on hold just within a week of payment, without any explanation, is completely unjustified and fraudulent.
Impact of Their Actions:
• I suffered severe delays in my home interior work, which was time-sensitive. Now, I will need to find a temporary accommodation (or stay at hotel until my interior work is completed).
• My ₹*,**,*** is stuck with Livspace, and they are neither providing the service nor refunding my money.
• Their lack of transparency, professionalism, and accountability has caused me significant inconvenience and financial distress.
Resolution Demanded:
*. Immediate refund of ₹*,**,***, as no service was provided and the project was put on hold without reason.
*. They should take internal action against the Livspace Mulund, Mumbai branch for unethical business practices.
I request a prompt resolution to this issue.
