Madhuri Jalan filed complaint against Goibibo and Qatar Airways on May 9, 2023
I had booked a Qatar Airways flight ticket through Goibibo for travel on **th May **** from Mumbai to Doha ( PNR: W***J*). And later changed the date for which I paid Rs *** directly to the airlines. For some personal reasons, I had to cancel my ticket, which I did with the airline and asked them to refund the amount to my credit card. But still Qatar Airways issued me a travel voucher for Rs. *****. I contacted Qatar Airways to issue me a refund in my credit card instead of the voucher as I had no plans to travel abroad in the near future. However, I was informed that in this case I have to contact the travel agent (Goibibo) and they will need to approach the Airline for the same.
It has been a year since I submitted my request with all the required documents and have been following up with them continuously over the past * year but to no avail. Goibibo keeps telling me that Qatar Airways is not processing the refund. While, Qatar airways has been telling me that the refund was already made to the travel agent (Goibibo) on **th June'****.
Both Goibibo and Qatar airways has been blaming each other and I have been left without any solution since last * year.
I want to clarify that this complaint is related only to refund of INR **,*** for the ticket which is not yet received and NOT for INR *** which was already refunded to me.
