Farhad Hansotia filed complaint against upgrad on May 24, 2022
It all started on **th May when one of the Upgrad personnel Mr. Ashutosh messaged me for some course that I was going through online before couple of days.
The course was Doctor of Global Business Administration for which we had a video conference in which I, Mr. Ashutosh and counselor Mr. Rishi were present.
I asked them whether the qualification could be obtained without any efforts and they agreed. So this is the first point where you find fraudulent activity in the course and for this as an evidence I have a whatsapp chat screenshot.
The total cost of the course was ₹* Lakhs and on video call they lured me that if I get registered immediately than they could reduce the fees to ₹*.* or even ₹*L. This was the second instance that made me assured to take them on task. So I paid ₹**,*** initially to get enrolled.
Now, just after ** mins of payment, I messaged Ashutosh that I want refund to ensure whether the platform is really trustworthy or not and the response that I got was pathetic.
They asked me to accept refund of ₹**,*** against ₹**,*** as it was their refund policy to deduct ₹**,***. They further added that it was mentioned in offer letter. However, I am not provided with any offer letter containing the same.
Upon asking for the offer letter containing the same, some Monica Madam contacted me and spoke to me in a very rough tone. She got ignited when I made the statement that upgrad is a fraudulent platform and from then none of their support team is providing me relevant support. It seems that support team supports upgrad rather than the students.
I received an email from their personnel Nikita seeking me to accept refund of ₹**,*** after deduction of ₹**,***. I need to upload a letter after signing to request for refund. But I haven't done it yet as the letter contains the condition of restraining me from legal proceedings. I am attaching the same as well for your kind perusal.
I desire team upgrad to face severe consequences for not being transparent and carrying on certain fraudulent acts.
