They cancelled our Deorital Chandrashila trek (dates **am - **th may ****) after asking is to reach Rishikesh multiple times on WhatsApp group created with other members who were to go on this trek and cancelled it after we reached Rishikesh citing India Pakistan tension even though there was no govt directive to cancel it . They have a random product called travel shield (very small pop up and very small lettered advertisement on on their website that only covers cancellation on their end and not ours due to weather related issues and Covid type force majure reasons ) which we had not chosen as we were very clear that we were not going to cancel. BUT they did citing they feared our safely and then issue us only vouchers - which we either sell to our family or friends or use within *** days!!!!!

at that point Since we were anyway in Rishikesh and other companies were doing treks we had to book a more expensive last min trek (which we happily finished). Now all we are asking for as per our message to them which reads as follows-

We are in rishikesh and have noted that There are a lot of operators still operating hikes ..

In fact we have booked another hike since we are here...

Just want to know, the grounds for cancelation at India hikes... and if it is one of the reasons valid for canceling under the cancelation policy.

Cancelation on the pretext of being safe is appreciated and understood, refund in the same mode of payment made would also be appreciated.

In the lack of information, I assume the cancelation hasn't been caused by any force majeure causes, natural calamity, nor has a regulatory /Govt directive been issued for restricting activity in the region for that matter..

Cancelation accepted, refund mode not accepted.


All we want is our money back and not vouchers - simple.

I cant go and sell their vouchers in the next * year and become their sales person - nor can i guarantee a travel in the next *** days.


Plus they have issued vouchers of *****.* against each one of our names instead of a per family payment we had made of ***** . Very smart of them!
