I, Amit Kumar Saha (Mobile: **********), purchased an iPhone ** from Cashify Supersale on **/**/****, Invoice No. NOI*********, for ₹**,***.
Soon after purchase, the phone started showing battery charging issues — it would either not charge or charge very slowly, even with different cables and adapters. Later, the ear speaker stopped working completely.
I raised a warranty claim on **/**/**** (Ticket No. ************), but Cashify only returned the phone claiming the issue was “resolved,” which it was not.
Later, they refused further service saying the back panel was damaged — which I never caused.
Upon verifying with Apple, I received a written confirmation that my iPhone’s original color (as per serial number) is Black, but the phone Cashify sold me is Purple. This clearly shows that Cashify sold a tampered or refurbished device with a changed body/back panel, possibly using non-genuine parts, which later cracked.
Despite repeated follow-ups, emails, tweets, and even escalation to the CEO Desk (Ticket No. ************), Cashify has refused to provide any written clarification or effective resolution.
This amounts to:
Sale of defective and tampered goods,
Deficiency in service, and
Unfair / deceptive trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, ****.
Relief Sought:
Full refund of ₹**,*** or replacement with a genuine iPhone ** of original color (Black).
Written clarification from Cashify regarding the change in phone body and color.
Compensation of ₹**,*** for mental harassment, inconvenience, and financial loss.
Strict action for selling defective and misleading products.
