ST Courier hosur - Received damaged product

I did courier to my friend on Saturday (**/*/****) in ST Courier, Hosur. My friend received it on Thursday (**/*/****) which is very late and this is also can be compromised but laptop has been damaged due to not proper delivery. Laptop was packed in very well-manner (Used thermocol in the side along with newspaper at the corners - it is very well packed). At the time of courier, office persons told it might damage due to the rough handling of products by delivery persons, so i suggested to mention "Handle with care" upon the package. Office persons told it will be taken care. and said me to pay rs. **** for the laptop.
