www meesho com - Re Complaint Regarding Unauthorized Forfeiture of 917 from Meesho Wallet

Dear Sir/Madam,

I wish to lodge a formal complaint against www.Meesho.com regarding the unauthorized forfeiture of ₹*** from my Meesho wallet.

I had a balance of ₹*** in my Meesho wallet, which was credited as a refund for returned products purchased through Meesho. Recently, I discovered that the entire wallet balance had been forfeited without any prior notice, consent, or clear intimation, with the reason cited being “not used within one year.”

I contacted Meesho customer support multiple times regarding this issue. However, the support team refused to assist and stated that it is “Meesho’s policy” and that the forfeited amount cannot be refunded. This response is unacceptable and represents deficiency in service and an unfair trade practice, as the forfeited funds were my rightful refund amount, not a promotional credit or bonus.

It is important to highlight that if this kind of forfeiture policy is being applied silently across all Meesho accounts, thousands of customers might be victims of the same issue. The total amount forfeited from consumer wallets could be very substantial, possibly running into lakhs or even crores of rupees.

Such actions not only violate the principles of fair consumer treatment but also undermine trust in digital payment systems and e-commerce platforms. Therefore, I urge the concerned authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into Meesho’s wallet policy and its impact on customers nationwide.

I have already submitted my complaint on the National Consumer Helpline portal (consumerhelpline.gov.in). I request your kind intervention to ensure that my forfeited amount of ₹*** is refunded and that appropriate action is taken to protect the interests of other consumers as well.
