Pepper Fry - pepperfry gift coupon expiry date

I received a pepper fry gift coupon of *k on **th January **** late evening from woohoo on selling my dining table to Quikr. The expiry date of the coupon clearly is **th January ****.
I tried purchasing a product from pepper fry on **th January **** afternoon to utilize the gift coupon but unfortunately started getting errors. I called customer care for assistance and they told me to try after some time or try with a different browser. Still, on failing, I connected to customer care again. They responded after checking the coupon detail that it has already been expired on **th January **:** pm. Also to mention that the assistance was quite rude as well the mail tickets were closed by straightly responding that they cannot help as the coupon has expired on **th January **** **:** pm with no logic and justification.
There is no additional information provided anywhere in any mode from the company that gift coupon is valid on or before **th January ****.
My only concern is that what is the point of writing validity **th January **** with the gift coupon when the date is not included. Highly disappointed with pepper fry, woohoo & quikr and not recommended.
