Shree Maruti Courier Services Private Limited - Parcel Not Delievered

Background of my complain
*. I booked a parcel with private courier provider called Shree Maruti Courier services Pvt Limited (http://www.smcukltd.com ).
It is an Indian courier service provider and have branches in UK. In India, main company is based in Ahmedabad , India
*. It was picked up from my home address in Newbury UK RG** *EF on *th Oct **** at *pm by agent of this company.
*. Parcel was booked on door to door delivery basis right from Newbury UK home to my family home in Pune , India.
*. Total charges paid is GBP *** on *th Oct to http://www.smcukltd.com
Parcel was send in new Duffel bag costing GBP **.
*. It was supposed to reach Pune, India within ** days and any custom duty is to be paid on actual basis.

Complain
*. It is now over * weeks (from expected date of arrival) and my parcel is still not delivered.
*. After following up with this company after last many weeks I was asked to pay GBP ** extra as some unknown charges.
*. I demanded details and evidence of these charges so that i can know which are these charges but company has till date never provided any supporting
for demanding these extra charges.
*. My parcel is now held by them and they are demanding more money to deliver this.
*. I’m chasing them to show proof of these so called “other charges” so that I can pay but they are just passing the buck and not delivering the parcel.
For last * weeks they are not responding to my email nor delivering my parcel.

I'm very perturbed and it is causing lot of inconvenience as parcel was meant for my family in India and had they informed me about additional charges then i
would have not used them for sending parcel.

I need help to claim damages for deficiency on service by http://www.smcukltd.com as i feel being a customer i have been cheated on false promise of delivering my parcel at GBP *** and the demanding extra GBP **

Action so far
I have been chasing them and have made multiple follow up with their head office in India but they are not providing any explanation nor supporting for the additional charges demanded by them neither delivering my parcel.
