UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services - Pan card issue

This complaint is regarding my PAN card to the income tax department. My pan card has been created somewhere in ****. But after so many years the income tax department has realized that the name in my Pancard and income tax department is mismatching. And to mine and everyone surprise the mismatch is that my Pancard mentions my “First name + Surname” whereas the name in the income tax is given as “My First name + Fathers Names+ Surname”. Somebody, please tell me where is the mismatch. If income tax people don’t understand this much also that means the income tax department and their system is incapable of doing their job. Why can't they have a separate field for fathers/husband name? And to top it all, to correct the mistakes which income tax people have made, we have to shell out Rs.*** from our pocket. Imagine likewise they will have crores of records with mismatches, Rs.*** each will give them so much money.
Due to the mismatch, I am unable to merge my PF accounts from different companies I had worked. I had been following it up with my last company and PF office for the past * years but everybody passes on the buck to another person. And Modiji says talks about Digital India!
