alright so it happened like this : my family is kind of a middle class one so affording an original iphone seemed out of the question, so as a naive teenage girl, i thought maybe i'd get it cheaper if i purchase it through online, never did i thought it would end up like this, i searched up on Instagrams, online sites, searched up on the Google for the best site to buy cheap iphone, then i came across this app called OLX (it's an app where you can buy or sell your used/unused items, but I'm pretty sure you might've heard about it as well) then i searched up for the wanted iphone and on the cheapest price possible, i saw some of the couple cheap iphones and decided to text them on OLX to know whether it is still available or not, the ones that replied said to text them in whatsapp and gave their w/a number immediately, i texted them in the app i told them I am the person who conversed with them in OLX a minute ago(i remember this vividly because i was so excited during this short span of time not having the slightest idea that i'm gonna get scammed) they then quickly replied asking me which model i want and such basic things, as i've mentioned i was a totally inexperienced girl i thought maybe i can trust them, but i was still a bit suspicious, the payment method was COD, and i was to first pay the confirmation charge, which was rs ***/- i payed the first confirmation charge then they said they're getting my order generated, i was overjoyed on the thought of getting an iPhone so i dropped my guard and agreed on everything they said, it was the next day then they told me some inconvenience happened and that now i have to pay my payment online, i asked them how and why they just answered that whether i pay or they'll cancel the order, my desperation for the iPhone made me agree on their condition, again (I regret it so bad) so i payed up on the time giventhen they started asking me for insurance and said it was mandatory, if it was that important then you should've told me about it from the first so that i could collect the money, this is what i told them, but they started being a bit pushy and said it was an extreme necessity, i did not have any penny left with me after paying them that much, so i told them i didn't need the insurance and i'll take the full guarantee on myself even if it gets stolen or broken, they said if i didn't pay up they're cancelling my order, i was very sad but i agreed because i really had no money then they began to ignore my texts when i asked them for my refund before proceeding to the next part i need to mention this too that while transferring the money to them i did not use neither of my parent's acc but used an elder brother's acc from my previous school, he doesn't know anything, he just helped me while transferring the money to the scammer salso that my phone is broken and i am currently using my mother's
