agarwal packer & movers (drs group) - Package damaged and missing

We have transferred our household goods from Pali, Rajasthan to Vijayawada, Andhra pradesh using Agarwal packers and movers which is a brand of DRS group. The packages were loaded on ** june **** with a commitment of delivery within * days. But the delivery happened on *rd july **** after continuous follow up. The company people were not giving responsible answers during follow up which was really irritating and we went to police station in vijayawada and then got an update from the office. The sales person who was in contact at the initial stages was giving full of commitments and not responding after the package was not delivery within the timeline. Initially he did not tell about part load and also any insurance and committed of deliver the complete things safely mentioning the brand name of the company. When the things got delivered on *rd july **** most of the packages were damaged as the carton boxes were wet. The committment was to transport the things in closed container and didnt know how this became wet. When enquired about this the answer from the Vijayawada office manager was rains in Madhya pradesh and containers were partially immersed in water although there wasn't that much of rain and floods during those days in any of the states covering this journey. Also * packages were missing which is even mentioned in the company's delivery slip and people from vijayawada irresponsibly answered that it was missing even before it reached hyderabad and they have mentioned in that slip. They asked to file complaint with the missing team of the company and we followed for one month for the missing package and still the answer is "not found".

We raised mail to the company for the concern and they were issuing compensation of Rs *** for the same which we are not aligned. They are citing the rates mentioned in the packing slip now but during loading the company employee asked to write lower rates saying it is for check post purpose only.
When told that we will go through consumer court they have sent another mail with compensation of Rs ****. The damage has happened due to wetness in the carton boxes which has happened transportation in open containers somewhere which is against the commitment given of transportation through closed containers and is breach of contract and we need to find our missing things and dont need meagre compensation which is nowhere near to the original value of the packages. We have the right to know about the missing package when it is committed to deliver safe all the packages but no responsible official statement is provided from company side.
