Hindustan petroleum - Overfilling of petrol at HP petrol pump Shri Ram ki Nangal Vatika Road Jaipur

I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue I faced at your HP petrol pump located at Shri Ram ki Nangal, Vatika Road, Jaipur.

On **th April ****, I visited the mentioned HP petrol pump to refuel my Honda SP *** motorcycle. The fuel tank capacity of this vehicle is **.* liters, and at the time of refueling, there was already approximately * liter of petrol in the tank.

To my surprise, the pump staff filled **.** liters of petrol in the tank—which is factually impossible and exceeds the tank’s maximum capacity. When I questioned this anomaly, the staff on duty, including the manager, refused to accept the mistake and even went to the extent of claiming that the manufacturer's stated tank capacity is incorrect, which is completely unacceptable.

This raises serious concerns about the accuracy of the fuel dispensing machine and possible malpractice at the station. Such discrepancies not only cause financial loss to customers but also erode trust in the HP brand.

I request you to kindly investigate this matter at the earliest, inspect the calibration of the dispensing unit at this outlet, and take strict action if any malpractice is found. I also request a response regarding the action taken and the refund of the excess amount charged.
