Good to know that ICICI Bank at all times acts with diligence, in good faith but looks like you have not read the exact issue which seems to prejudicial to the interest of its customers like me.
With due respect, I will restate my question: " Why ICICI Bank or Its CC applications are Incapable/ Inefficient of displaying single/combined credit limit even if both the cards have separate accounts"?
I have attached screenshots from imobile, statement, online banking w.r.t CC and see they display different balance which does not match with a so-called combined Credit limit. This creates confusion in the customer minds which ends up having embarrassed at the shop or outside when the card is used for payment as he/she thinks I have X balance amount in a card as shown by diff customer-facing ICICI bank application or portal but found out actual balance is Y amount. If I see from the SS, Balance in one card is approx *,**,*** and another has **,**** but in actual or reality its not.
I come to know about the combined limit only when I receive an SMS and if I don't receive due to server issue anytime, then I am gone case as I will not aware of actual combined balance. That put me in embarrassment even if My cards have balance as shown by bank but I cannot use it as it only for showing and not for use.
In this Digital Age, Bank expects the customer to sit and do a mathematical calculation to determine the actual balance before using the card every time but their system will not able to display this combined balance in any of customer-facing or anywhere other than when the card is used.
Is this called ICICI bank Feature to show something else to the customer but hide the actual details? Is it not playing around with the interest of its customers?
Is this was customer grabbing scheme without having any proper solution of displaying a single balance in place? if so hats off to your business and sales team for such a kind act.
Hats off to your Internal Ombudsman team who without understanding the actual issue of Bank unable to display combined limit at any platform, given thumbs up for the generic response. May be expecting the customer to do the mathematical calculation himself or herself before going for any purchase or using any of the cards and also to safeguard the inability of the Bank to display a combined limit even if the customer gets embarrassed or become a fun object. Clearly it shows how Bank Cares about the customer.
Appreciate it if you can understand the exact issue and compensated me via any means for the embarrassment scenario I have faced and I have lost my respect in stores after those incidents where due to ICICI bank inability to display single or combined balance for two cards anywhere but displaying the wrong balance i.e separate balance of cards.
I am ***% sure, There are many customers who are facing similar issues and many of my friends have told their pain due to this. I am also sure, this customer base is more if I go for a reality check on Social media platforms for not able to display a single balance for two cards sharing one credit limit.
Note: ICICI Bank's official even if they know the actual issue but try to cover the incapability or inability of their application to display the combined credit limit to show their loyalty to Bank and also even if they are aware that their IT Team, the Sales team are not able to get the solutions of this issue and need time for that, this was the communication I received * year back when I raised the concern after getting embarrassed and becoming a fun object in bajaj electronics but found that issue is as it is, no action happened.
