Aloevera Gel, Raquitys, Order No. ****************** dated **.**.****. I placed order for Aloevera Gel of this particular company through Meesho but the product delivered to me was defective. So I asked for replacement. The replacement was made by product of a different colour and of a different company. Then I sought for further replacement or return of the product. Although the product is non-returnable, Meesho made arrangement to take return of the product as I have no fault if a wrong product is delivered to me. Courier company Delhivery picked up the returned product on **.**.**** and gave acknowledgement of successful receipt of the product through WhatsApp. However, Meesho was unduly harassing me and not refunding the amount paid to them for frivolous reason of having no tracking number of courier company which received the product returned by me. I, therefore, lodged a complaint with National Consumer Helpline vide their docket no. ******* for non-refund of the amount of Rs.*** paid by me for this product. Upon receipt of this complaint, Meesho refunded me Rs.**, i.e. **% of the total amount paid by me without informing the reasons or discussing with me. Subsequently, they closed the complaint arbitrarily without giving any reason in writing. I further followed up the matter with Meesho providing them all evidences of my payment made and courier acknowledgement of successful pick up of the product from me. Upon discussing with a Meesho representative subsequently, I could understand that Meesho was then claiming that they delivered * products but obtained return of * product, which is an absolutely false statement and afterthought on their part. Earlier they were not refunding any amount on the ground of not receiving the courier tracking number and thereafter they mentioned a new false ground. However, since only * product was delivered to me on exchange, I could also return to them only * product. This is clearly evidenced by the label of the packing box through which the product of a different company with different colour was delivered to me.The price of the said product was much higher at Rs.***. But I returned the said product showing my honesty and the courier company Delhivery gave me acknowledgement for successful pick up of the product on **.**.**** without any objection or reservation of receiving any lesser quantity of product from me. Getting no solution, I lodged another complaint with National Consumer Helpline vide their docket no. *******. But my complaint was arbitrarily closed by Meesho without providing any justified reason. They also took the advantage of the fact that National Consumer Helpline does not provide for any hearing of the petitioner and respondent and the respondent plays a one sided game. National Consumer Helpline has no say over the decision taken by the respondent and there are no legal proceedings. Although the amount may be nominal, it appears that numerous consumers are being defrauded in this manner and this is a serious concern to the community as a whole. You are requested take immediate steps so that I get refund of the balance amount of Rs.** and take strong action against Meesho, who appears to be cheating many consumers like this.The relevant documents are being attached.
