STATE BANK OF INDIA BHUBANESWAR MAIN BRANCH - Non refund of money by SBI inspite of complaint of online fraud within

I have been subjected to online fraud being done on behalf of Mayfair Hotels for reservation at Puri and this time i have been on the receiving end with losing approx **,***/- for a booking at Mayfair Hotels Puri.The transaction was done on **th Sep to an account which has been opened in Punjab National Bank on the name of Mayfair Hotels for an amount of *****/- for booking of six rooms on the name of Mr P N Singh for ** Jan ****.Accordingly a confirmation mail was also sent from an email confirming the booking. However next day just to confirm the booking when I checked up with the hotel there was no booking. Accordingly without wasting time I lodged a complaint on the National cyber crime reporting forum. In addition SBI was also contacted with respect to the online fraud.All details of transactions including mail received and the details of the complaint was forwarded to SBI.As the complaint was lodged within ** hrs from the occurrence of incident hence as per RBI guidelines I requested SBI to process the case for reversal of the money at the earliest. HOWEVER SBI MAIN BRANCH BHUBANESWAR blatantly refused for processing the case for reversal stating its customer’s fault. As per RBI they should have initiated process for reversal of funds as per the insurance supposed to be there for such purpose on every account in the bank if the complaint has been done within ** hours but SBI refused to do so. They should have clearly identified the issue and done the needful within ** days but they refused to do so.A public sector bank disregarding RBI’s directions is not acceptable. I want the reversal of funds to be done and what actions have been taken by the bank to be intimated at the earliest.
