I have gave **,*** rupees to Nestaway as security deposit for the apartment we moved in. After ** months of occupancy the owner suddenly cut down the water and told us there is a bill of **,*** rupees attached to our flat because of pending bill of previous tenants. We were not informed anything about this during move in neither by Nestaway nor the owner. When we approached Nestaway for help the said they can't do anything and asked us to move out. It was a really difficult for us to move out with such a short notice because finding apartments in Bangalore is difficult. But still we managed to move out to a small apartment. During move out, Nestaway agent assured us that they will refund the deposit in around * days and will not add any early move out charges because it was not our fault that we are moving out. Now it has already been an month and they are not returning the deposit. Moreover, they have added unnecessary move out charges on our profile statement. Their customer support is not helpful. They only reply saying the security deposit is with the owner and they can't refund it. While when we call the owner she says she didn't receive anything from Nestaway. This has been going on for a month now. This is such a bad experience for us. We are really in need of money but these false promises from Nestaway scammed us.
