Sadhana Clinic Mumbai - Misrepresentation Overcharging and Deficiency in Service Sadhana Proactive Clinic Mumbai
Anu filed complaint against Sadhana Clinic Mumbai on Apr 20, 2026
I am filing this complaint regarding my treatment experience at Sadhana clinic, Khar Mumbai, which involved misrepresentation, lack of transparency, and significant deficiency in medical care.
*. Misrepresentation of GLP-* Mounjaro Injection Pen
I was advised to purchase an injection pen (~₹**,***) which was represented as an imported product with titration flexibility not available in Indian alternatives.
The transaction was coerced to be in Cash only with no bill.
However, I later discovered that the same manufacturer (Eli Lilly) provides equivalent pens in India with comparable titration functionality at significantly lower cost(Rs.*****). This indicates that the differentiation presented to me was inaccurate.
*. Misleading Explanation of Titration
A chart was shown during consultation suggesting that gradual titration (“click-based dosing”) is only possible using UK imported pen & how this made the transaction cheaper also forcing to start with non therapeutic *.**mg titration so the pen can last upto *months hence incorrecty shown cost effective over Indian available pen.
This representation influenced my purchase decision. No written clarification or scientific explanation was provided despite repeated queries.
*. Lack of Transparency Before Purchase
Despite multiple questions(attached), the actual pen was not shown to me in advance. At the time of administration, I was provided a single opened pen without clarity on:
-number of pens required
-duration of usage
-dosage structure
*. Evasion of Questions
Repeated attempts to understand:
-difference between UK and Indian pens
-dosing flexibility
-treatment structure
were met with incomplete responses, generic content, or no response.
*. Pressure on Payment Method
There was repeated insistence & several reminder calls on cash-based payments, with lack of clarity or documentation regarding billing.
*. Lack of Billing Transparency
A receipt/invoice for payments was not provided despite request & called upon as me being non trusting of the "journey"
*. Forced Ecosystem for Diagnostics
I was strongly encouraged to:
-use a specific pathology (Suburban Diagnostics, Khar)
-undergo scans only through a particular associated doctor
These services were priced significantly marked up & higher than comparable market rates.(attached)
*. Restricted Access to Medicines and Supplements:
All prescribed supplements and products were available only through the clinic’s own pharmacy channel.(attached)
These included:
-“Immune Chaaarge”
-“PWD.SLIMBA Diet Clear Protein”
-specific probiotic formulations
These products are not traceable through standard pharmacies or e-commerce platforms, making it difficult to verify composition, pricing, or alternatives.
*. Lack of Transparency in Supplement Pricing:
The supplement “Immune Chaaarge” (₹*,*** for ** tablets) appears to be a generic antioxidant formulation (Vitamin C, Zinc, etc.) marketed via a third-party entity, yet priced significantly higher than comparable products available in the open market. Also note these supplements are not even found on Google.
**. Forced Purchase Behaviour
I was called out to be cheap with my health & discouraged from using alternative products and told that weight loss results will be affected if I did not purchase supplements directly from the clinic and then the doctor will no more be liable.
**. Lack of Proper Medical Guidance
I was hurriedly injected in the chaotic clinic as soon as the handed over cash was counted, not given clear instructions on:
-how to titrate the pen
-how to track dosage
-how to proceed with dose escalation
-how many pens i purchased
- what was being packed and given
-what care needs to be taken
All of this stating they are available on call at any time for questions and followups
Then once payment made- Even after follow-ups, assistance remained inadequate.
**. Deficiency in Follow-Up:(attached)
-Detailed updates regarding my progress were shared regularly, but responses were minimal, delayed, or non-clinical.
**. Lack of Access to Doctor
Despite paying consultation fees, I was not able to directly communicate with the doctor. All interaction was routed through assistants who did not provide complete guidance. Only when i pushed for the billing of pen, did the doctor come on line for * mins and was rather rude and submissive, dismissing my concerns to be a deficiency and overthinking. Also stating if i continue questioning, then she is not liable for the treatment to not work.
**. Inconsistent and Incomplete Advice:
Important instructions (e.g., dietary restrictions such as avoiding milk) were not clearly communicated during consultation and were only noticed later on prescription.
The diet plan provided was generic and never tailored to the treatment protocol.
**. Unprofessional Conduct:
When I raised questions, I was told I was “overthinking”
My concerns were attributed to deficiencies.
I was discouraged from questioning treatment decisions
This created pressure and hindered informed decision-making.
**. Suppression of Communication:
When I raised queries regarding pricing and number of pens via messages, I was asked to delete messages stating they would “cause confusion.”(Attached)
**. Overall Impact
Due to the above:
-I incurred significant financial loss.
-I was not able to make informed decisions
-I did not receive adequate medical supervision
-The experience caused ongoing stress and concern & there has not been a single day in last * months i have not thought of how i was fleeced and ill treated.
Resolution Sought:
-Refund of ₹**,*** towards the injection pen i paid in Cash on **th Dec ****
-Refund of consultation fees of ₹**** of two visits- **th Nov **** & **th Dec ****
-Refund of ₹**** charged for unknown medicines- **th Dec ****
- Refund of ₹**** for unnecessary tests enforced in November despite recent tests of mid September available - **th Dec ****
-Investigation into the clinic’s practices. With a clientele base of mostly Rich and retired senior citizens - a clinic working all on Cash transactions and selling misinformation & poor quality supplements at high pricing to make profits
-Appropriate action to prevent similar cases in future
This complaint is being filed in good faith based on my experience, with the intention of seeking resolution and ensuring accountability.
