I am filing this complaint against HeyCoach for misrepresentation, financial exploitation, mental harassment, and failure to provide the services promised at the time of admission.
*. Misleading Sales Tactics and False Promises
My ordeal began when I received a LinkedIn message from HeyCoach claiming that they specialize in helping working professionals get placed in MAANG/FAANG companies.
This was the primary reason I trusted them and enrolled.
On Day *, I was charged ₹**,*** as a seat-booking fee.
Immediately after that, HeyCoach pushed me into a loan of ₹*,**,*** for * years from GyanDhan, assuring me that this investment would guarantee high-quality training and strong placement support.
This turned out to be a trap.
*. Poor Training Quality and Rude Behaviour
Although the instructors taught DSA and System Design, their overall behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional.
They taught in their own style and language, without considering whether learners were following.
Despite advertising the course as “ideal for working professionals,” they provided absolutely no support outside ** AM – * PM.
This time window is when most working professionals (like me) are at work, making it impossible to get help.
No support on Sundays, despite Sunday being the only free day for most working professionals.
*. Unfair Academic Structure Designed to Trap Students
HeyCoach gives an unrealistically heavy number of assignments, creating a loop where most students fail to complete them on time.
This seems deliberately designed so that:
Students don’t finish assignments
Students don’t meet the “placement criteria”
Students are trapped into buying course extensions
In fact, HeyCoach repeatedly called me to purchase an extension, but luckily I refused.
I still took my time, worked extremely hard, and completed every requirement on my own within * months after course completion.
When I informed HeyCoach, they claimed their portal does not update automatically, which is shocking for an edtech company.
On the phone, I was even spoken to rudely and belittled, with comments like:
“We cannot waste time for one student; we have many others.”
This was mentally distressing and unprofessional.
*. Severe Placement Negligence & False Commitments
Once I became eligible for placement, the real issues began:
They stopped responding to my calls
Many of my emails bounced
The official support email address was not even configured
I followed up for weeks and months, but got generic template replies
I received only ONE referral in *.* months
That referral was to a **-employee robotics company, totally unrelated to my experience and well below the standard promised
After that rejection, I was ignored for * months, with ZERO new opportunities
All my questions (Why am I not being referred? When will I get interviews? Why no updates?) were answered with the same scripted line:
“We will refer you soon.”
There was never any concrete update, no discussion about my target companies (which they promised during enrollment), and no follow-through of obligations.
*. Psychological Stress, EMI Pressure & Financial Loss
I am paying large EMIs every month for a service that was not delivered.
This has caused:
Monetary loss
Psychological stress
Loss of one full year
Zero benefits from the program
Continuous anxiety because of loan repayment
Damage to my career progress due to their negligence
Despite multiple attempts from my side, HeyCoach chose to ignore, delay, and avoid responsibility.
*. Systemic Pattern
Upon researching online, I found multiple complaints against HeyCoach for:
No placements
Ignoring emails
Forcing students into loans
Not delivering services
Fake promises
This appears to be a pattern of unethical and unfair trade practices.
*. My Request
Given the above, I am requesting:
Full refund of ₹*,**,***
(₹**,*** seat fee + ₹*,**,*** loan + interest + EMI burden)
Compensation for mental harassment and wasted time
Closure/settlement of the loan taken through GyanDhan
Litigation/complaint cost reimbursement
HeyCoach has not delivered even **% of what was promised.
I have suffered emotionally, financially, and professionally due to their actions.
I request Voxya to take strict action and help me recover my money and compensation at the earliest.
