Athena Eye Care Kolkata - Medical negligence in Phaco Surgery

I had undergone phaco surgery on **/**/**** under Dr. Sanatani at Athena Eye Care. My patient reg numb. was *****. After the operation, the residual power given was +*.** and the near vision was +*.* due to the wrong biometry at the clinic. My right eye was -*.*. This mismatch made it impossible to adjust. The remedy suggested was to get the right eye operated which did not require immediate surgery. For this, the surgeon directed that I get the biometry done at another center may be confirming that they had little confidence in the technician at their clinic. I preferred to consult other specialists who after proper inspection exchanged the already implanted lens and now I have very little residual power in the left eye and am very comfortable. I think medical ethics demands suitable compensation be made to me as I had to spend twice for the same operation for the surgeon's negligence.
