Leela Grand Vacations Pvt LTD - Making False Promise and no service

In June****, I have brought a new Maruti Suzuki car and since then I started getting calls from numerous travel agency to collect some free vouchers for * nights & * days hotel stay at * or * star properties by visiting them at their nearest * star hotel (Crown Plaza) but I kept avoiding it. However, I get into the trap of Leela Grand Vacations Pvt. LTD after attending their sales call and agreed to meet them at their agreed venue - Crown Plaza Hotel at Rohini, Delhi on **-Nov-****. I went their along with me wife and daughter and get into the trap of their sales team by taking their ** years membership in my wife’s name and paid upfront from my HSBC credit card for Rs.***,***/- plus interest on EMI which cost me in total Rs. ***,***/-.

They’ve also mentioned about AMC (annual maintenance charges Rs.****/- plus GST which totals Rs.*****/-) which will be applicable from next year of after consuming your ** days hotel stays within year. In addition, they also offered us * bonus weeks, * nights & * days at hill station, * night stay at * or * star hotel at Delhi NCR regions and * voucher for free * nights & * days stay at hotel which can be consumed anytime within first year.
I didn’t realised any suspicious about this company that time as I initially thought it was Leela group of hotels and they are offering membership like Club Mahindra for booking family stays in * or * star hotels for their members but later I realised that it was not the case. I even went to their Noida office and their team made me believe that they are genuine travel company but they failed to provide their Brochure and agreed list of their affiliated * or * star hotels within India which their sales team kept on mentioning at the time of signing the membership that you will get everything in writing along with list of all * or * star hotels within India from which you can anytime choose and book your stay.

I wrote an email to them for hotel booking of * persons stay at Ranthambore Rajasthan (from **-Nov-**** to **-Nov-****) and they provided me some quotation along with applicable AMC in email. I haven not confirmed them for booking but they said they they’ve already made booking for * persons under our name at Tiger Moon Resort, Ranthambore Rajasthan. I wrote back them email that I have not confirmed anything on the booking and there should not be any question for AMC as it will be our first stay after becoming the member. I have not received any resolution to that. Also, In that email I’ve asked them to provide quotation for booking at Goa along on new year eve with list of their affiliated * or * star hotels but they didn’t provided any list of affiliated hotel and only respond stating that dates from **-Dec to *-Jan are blackout dates so they couldn’t process the request.

Then, I visited their Noida office along with my wife and they told me that all bookings are done through email only so they can’t help anyone face to face at their office. Therefore, I wrote another email to them asking for quotation of hotel booking at Jaipur along with list of their affiliated * or * star hotels but they didn’t respond back.

On **-March’****, I have written an email to them asking for providing quotation for booking at Manali from **th Mar to *nd April. First of all they didn’t respond promptly. After following up on the email on **nd Mar’****, they responded back over the email on **rd Mar’**** providing the names of * hotels along with AMC. I wrote them back-to-back emails to them but they didn’t provide me confirmation on the booking nor any resolution on AMC charges that they kept mentioning in their emails. They provide a standard response every time and provide phone number for resolving the AMC issue but that phone either kept ringing or busy or sometime send reply that “I’ll call you back”.

Please see if I can get any resolution through consumer court or any other court. Any relief from such fraud company will help me - be it entire or partial refund of membership fees paid from my HSBC credit card for Rs.***,***/- plus interest on EMI which cost me in total Rs. ***,***/-.

Also, please go through the first welcome email that they’ve send and you will realise that they have copied/pasted the terms & conditions from some other company name “Vivanta Vacation Club” which is mentioned under “Membership Details” section of their email.
