Dairy milk chocolate - It looks spoiled before it s expiry date

It's mentioned that the manufacturing date was **/**** and the expiry date is in **th December ****, but the chocolates looks like it's spoiled when I opened it(*.**.****and there's a small holes in it. And the smell was terrible.
