Ramya Modular Kitchen And Interiors - Interior Design Fraud

We had approached this god awful company Ramya Modular Kitchen And Interiors for the woodwork and modular kitchen of our new home.

Initially they were over enthusiastic and their owner Govindan even came for a site visit and quickly sent us *D mockups of the designs. All was good and we gave some corrections and they complied with it.

They collected **% of the estimated amount upfront saying they needed it for buying materials, we paid them this amount on **/**/**.

Roughly ten days on **/**/** after making the initial payment, they started work, affixed the frames for the woodwork for a couple of days and demanded the next instalment of **% of the money for ordering doors, and we paid them reluctantly.

Then they were nowhere to be seen, they would hardly come once/twice a week and sometimes won't even come for the whole week, citing rain, Diwali or some other reason.

Then one fine day they fixed the doors except the lofts on one of the bedrooms saying they ordered the wrong size doors and they need to replace it. This happened on **/**/**. The doors are not installed till date.

Then they demanded **% more money to buy the handles and locks for the doors as apparently the company had no money left to order, we unwillingly complied believing at least now they will complete the work after paying **% of the money.

That was the biggest mistake, they came like * day in the next * weeks after that.

In the ** days since we've made the first payment, they have hardly came for work about **-** days.

So many mistakes and corrections were done all the while accusing us the customer always saying we only asked us to do so. They regularly bad mouthed us over calls for not adhering to their designs, in all those conversations they spoke as if we are the cause for delay. The owner is the one who regularly speaks with us, he has an obsessive compulsion that he has to be the one who is always right and never admits to making a mistake.

They initially made a promise that they would complete in ** days, but since they weren't done we couldn't move in to our new house and we had no place to stay as our previous rental house owner made us evict on the decided date. So, we had to look for a temporary storage to store our household items and we are living in a relative's house in Bangalore temporarily.

We have faced so much mental trauma and they've inconvenienced us at every step of the way. We want to get the entire amount refunded and also compensated for all the indirect expenses the company has cost us and also the pain that we went through the last two months with our home being rendered unusable due to this company's shoddy work.
