A Severe Warning to Bangalore Residents: Clinical Negligence, Billing Fraud, and Confinement at TRILIFE HOSPITAL Kalyan nagar Bangalore,
I am sharing our deeply distressing experience to warn other families before they trust this facility with their loved ones and hard-earned savings.
*. Severe Clinical Negligence & Faulty Testing
Dangerous Sugar Level Tracking: The nursing staff displayed a complete lack of basic training. They recorded a Post-Prandial (PP) sugar reading and documented it as "Post-Dinner" sugar, completely ignoring the fact that the patient had not eaten dinner. Reporting a fasting or pre-meal state as post-dinner directly leads to a high risk of incorrect insulin or medication dosage, which is life-threatening.
Flawed Medication Allergy Testing: The staff bypassed standard medical protocol for testing drug reactions. To check for a reaction, a nurse must record baseline vital signs before administering a test dose, give the micro-dose, and then record vitals afterward to compare the data. Instead, the nurse directly injected the test dose without taking initial vitals, abruptly declared the patient "allergic," and deprived the patient of a crucial, curative medicine. Upon informing this to the doctor he too supported the act telling we are now giving better medicine than the previous injection and that medicine was thrown in garbage (OUR MONEY IN GARBAGE)
*. Fraudulent Billing & Insurance Rejection
Fake Bills & Useless Treatments: The hospital inflated our billing statements with unutilized consumables and unnecessary procedures.
Our corporate insurance provider thoroughly audited the claim and rejected it completely, stating that the hospital submitted fabricated billing lines and performed redundant treatments just to artificially hike up the total cost.
*. Illegal Confinement / Patient Held Hostage
When we confronted the administration regarding the insurance audit and asked for a transparent itemized bill, the management locked down the process.
They withheld the discharge summary and physically refused to let the patient leave the premises, demanding full out-of-pocket cash payment for a disputed, inflated bill.
Administrative Bias: We approached the nearest local police station for immediate help against this physical confinement, but due to the hospital's local political and financial influence, the officers refused to register a formal FIR for wrongful confinement.
My Earnest Advice to Everyone:
This facility's practices could force an ordinary family to deplete their lifetime savings or part with family jewelry for substandard, negligent care. Please protect your health and your finances—do your research, know your rights under the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (KPME) Act, and find alternative, transparent hospitals in Bangalore.
