Compassio Healthcare Llp - Highly suspicious treatment by Hospital

My father was admitted to LifePoint Hospital (managed by COMPASSIO HEALTHCARE LLP), Wakad, Pune as he was losing balance while walking. He was also having a cough. After primary examination in Emergency, he was immediately moved to ICU, so that he can be under observation of doctors ** hours a day. For * days the Doctors at hospital did various tests and they did not find anything. On the third day the doctor told us that there is nothing wrong with him, losing balance was just on that day and he will be shifted to normal ward out of ICU and will be discharged later.

Just before the shifting, the doctor in the ICU called me in the ICU and told me that my father is not responding, and the saturation level is going down and needs to put on ventilator. I was in the ICU, I requested the doctor to see my father, but the doctor did not allow me to see him, since they want to prepare him for ventilator.

The tests did not show anything wrong, the doctors declared that he was good to move out of ICU, then suddenly what happened was that he had to put on ventilator and the doctor did not allow to see him.

Later they told us that his D-dimer is high and troponin Test was positive and he had a cardiac arrest.

With ventilator in ambulance, they sent him for CT Scan x-ray of brain and chest. There they found that he was having pneumonia.

Since he was having cough from the first day, in the ICU how did it increase and how they did not know that it will convert into pneumonia. In ICU he was under observation for ** hours. How did the doctors did not have any idea about this.

From then on, he was put on heavy doses and my father’s health deteriorated. He became so weak and from normal health the hospital made him a fragile patient. He could not talk or walk at the time of discharge.

On requesting them the troponin test, they said first time they did it was negative, second time its positive. I asked them for the second report, and they did not provide me with the report and told me that it has come on WhatsApp. In the discharge file there is no such report. In the billing also there is only one report of troponin.

When the in-house x-Rays's were done, why did the doctors fail to understand that there could be something coming since he had a cough.

Before hospitalization my only complaint was losing balance while walking and coughing a little.

Doctors did not cure anything about the imbalance, probably they did not find anything in reports.

But they infused pneumonia in his body. According to the doctor, the cough accumulated and converted to pneumonia. This happened when he was in ICU. On the first and second day in ICU he was good. Even the doctor had taken the decision to move out of ICU. So, in these * days in ICU, how does the doctor do not know that his cough would accumulate and will be converted to pneumonia.

And then suddenly at the time of discharge from ICU, he had a cardiac arrest. The doctors did not allow me for a glance at him. And there is no report of positive troponin which they claimed there is.

My questions are:

There is no report of positive troponin, how did they proceed with further medication.

Why did the doctor not allow me to see my father when they said that he is not responding and saturation decreasing, when I was right there in ICU.

It seems like he unnecessarily put on ventilator.

Almost * days he was in ICU, how did the doctor fail to understand the cough is getting converted to penomina, What's the meaning of ICU Intensive Care Unit?

Last and most important, the hospital made my father weak; he was put under heavy medication. For me the hospital tortured my father.

In discharge summary and in the bill, there is only one test of troponin, which is negative.

Need a thorough investigation of this.
