the undersigned, hereby submit this complaint against the Electricity Department for issuing an abnormally high and unjustified electricity bill for the billing month of OCTOBER ****

*. That I am a consumer of the Electricity Department with Consumer No. [**********]
*. That for the billing month of [OCTOBER ****], I have received an electricity bill of Rs. [*****, which is highly excessive and not in accordance with my past average consumption.
*. there has been no additional usage of electrical appliances or any reason that could justify such a high bill.
*. That I approached the concerned authorities of the electricity department and submitted a written complaint on [DEPMBER ], but no action has been taken so far to rectify the issue
*. That due to the negligence and lack of response from the department, I am suffering undue mental stress and financial burden.
Prayer:
I therefore, request the Hon’ble Forum to kindly:
a) Direct the electricity department to investigate and correct the inflated bill.
b) Refund the excess amount charged (if already paid) along with interest.
c) Award compensation for mental harassment and inconvenience.
d) Pass any other order deemed just and appropriate in the circumstances.
