Sub: HDFC Life Sanchay Plan – ********
I have taken Sanchay Plan from HDFC Life on **/**/**** and paid Rs. **,***/- towards first premium and second premium on **/**/****. While explaining the policy the agent promised that I would get an maturity amount of **,**,***/- after ** years if the premium *****/- is paid regularly for * years. As part of the rule I did not receive any Product confirmation call after which the policy should be deemed as confirmed.
I received a message that the Hard copy of the policy is shipped through Blue Dart courier. As I have not received the parcel I called the customer care on non delivery of the policy. They claimed that it is delivered to one Nirmala Devi, without checking the credentials not reached me. She is not associated to me. On **/**/**** I have received the duplicate copy, which means I received the hard copy exactly after * months wherein I lost the chance to read through the document and cancel the policy.
I called the customer care to know much about the policy and got to know that the actual maturity amount for the policy would be *,**,*** /-. The amount revealed by the customer care executive and the marketing executive is completely different. I realized that the maturity amount he(Marketing executive) mentioned is in case of death of the policy holder. I was not satisfied with the wrong information and the returns and thought of cancelling the policy. So I have surrendered for the cancellation of the policy on **/**/**** physically by visiting the Begumpet and Kukatpally HDFC Life offices.
On **/**/****, I have raised a complaint with the customer care on below issues,
*. Providing wrong information by the marketing executive
*. Non-receiving of Product confirmation call from HDFC Life
*. Dispatching the hard copy to unknown person without intimating me
*. Non receiving the break-up for the surrendered amount
Here are the list of complaints I logged and attaching the same for your reference.

On **/**/****, I have received amount Rs. ****/- as excess payment received.
Even though I have raised * complaints they have closed all the complaints, stating that you have already surrendered the policy. They themselves claim that, anyone would have ** days time to rethink on the cancellation of policy. These words are said by the Manager when I have visited the Begumpet Branch on **/**/****. On record I have raised all the complaints within ** days.
Note: When I raise a complaint, they respond separately without including my original complaint. They never maintained the chain mail to keep out of the record.
I request your help in settling this matter properly. The manager recklessly responded saying that if you want to reach Ombudsman you can and we know how to respond to them. As a customer don’t we have any right to claim our amount if the Insurance companies provide wrong information and sell the policy.
