Dear Management,
My name is Md Shariq, ** years old, and I am a resident of Lucknow. I live just * kilometers away from company Lucknow branch (Startek), and I feel it is my responsibility to inform you, May this not happen to anyone else in the future due to internal mismanagement and unprofessional behavior by certain employees.On **th June ****, I gave an interview for a Work From Home (WFH) position at Startek. They was given a joining date of **st June ****, and I received the offer letter on **rd June ****. However, shockingly, within just half an hour of receiving the offer letter, I was terminated without any documentation. The reason given was that I lacked computer knowledge. If that were the case, why wasn’t this assessed during the interview process?After getting selected, I spent ₹**,*** to upgrade my personal computer for work from home. Who will compensate for this amount? I come from a middle-class family, and ₹**,*** is a big amount for me. Now what should I do with this PC when I don't even have the job anymore?"Upon joining, Ms. Ibtisam Fatima Rizvi instructed me to fill a **-page form for the CSA role. The format provided was incorrect and full of errors. I received no proper guidance. Only later did Ms. Vibha Shukla, who was helping other candidates under her supervision, tell me that the correct form had ** pages due to my age (** years). Despite the lack of support, I filled out the form on my own, though it was late.I observed that Ms. Vibha Shukla was helping her candidates clearly and patiently, treating them like students learning ABCD. In contrast, Ms. Ibtisam Fatima Rizvi, who was assigned to guide me, was issuing threats instead of providing help. She told me bluntly that if I didn’t fill out the form properly, I would be terminated.For four days, I endured this kind of treatment, and from my experience, I reached the conclusion that the Startek Lucknow branch is suffering due to the irresponsibility and unprofessional behavior of some employees, especially:Ms. Ibtisam Fatima Rizvi(sr HR)Mr. Paras Karki(HR)Ms. Baisali (Trainer) – who doesn’t know how to deliver proper training I have over *.* years of experience in both international and domestic voice/non-voice BPO processes and have lived in Bangalore for ** years, working with multiple companies. Based on my professional experience, I can confidently say that your company is currently on a declining path. If timely action is not taken, there is a serious risk of closure — something I’ve witnessed happen to many BPOs before.startek (employee)(lucknow branch) are irresponsible, dishonest, and enjoying luxuries at the company’s expense. Shockingly, many of them lack even basic English skills, and I have found credible information suggesting that jobs are being handed out in exchange for alcohol and bribes.I urge you to take this matter seriously. And reimbursement of ₹**,*** spent on the PC upgrade due to the false assurance of job.Internal inquiry or disciplinary action against whoever is responsible for misleading job communication.Steps be taken to ensure no other candidate has to face such a situation in the future.
