Bhajan Singh S/O Joginder Singh and
Kulwant Singh S/O Sumer Singh
Either or Survivor.
Bank employee got the signatures of both Bhajan singh and Kulwant Singh before hand and filled the application form himself claiming that it saves time in busy schedule. It was specifically requested to make FDRs in auto renewal mode.
Bhajan Singh is above ** years and recovering from cancer and is very weak due to health and age related issues. he has undergone surgery and chemotherapy. It is not easy for him to visit bank. Kulwant Singh is single father (wife died of cancer in ****) and has to visit his children who are students abroad. Due to covid-** None of us could visit bank for ** months for the renewal of FDRs. We were not worried since we were sure that the FDRs are in auto-renewal mode and there could not be any problem even if we get FDRs renew late. The maturity date was **-**-****. When I visited the bank on **-**-****. Bank gave me a shock saying the FDRs will get interest rate of saving bank account only because they were not in auto renewal mode. It caused me a loss of approximately seventy thousand rupees. The attitude of the manager and other employees was very rude and insulting. They refused to show us even application form and ask not to come to bank any more and use email only. Please look into the matter and help me to get fix deposit interest rate on my FDRs. Thank you
