surya uday - Fraud fake products
Surya Subhrajit filed complaint against surya uday on Jul 25, 2025
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding a fraudulent transaction involving the purchase of electronic items from individuals claiming to represent an electronics company in Cuttack, Odisha. The incident took place on *rd July ****.
Two individuals approached me, claiming to be managers of a reputed electronics company. They offered to exchange new electronic items in return for old or damaged ones, which they said was part of a promotional campaign. Trusting them, I handed over two damaged induction cooktops (valued collectively at ₹**** as per their estimate) and a non-working Samsung Galaxy smartphone (valued at ₹***). In return, I was sold a "Surya Uday Infrared Induction Cooker" and a "Falcon Grinder" for a total price of ₹****, which I paid via UPI to a personal account (PhonePe UPI ID: **********@ybl).
The sellers provided no proper documentation inside the product packaging. There were no user manuals, warranty papers, manufacturer information, or contact numbers for service. Instead, they gave me a handwritten warranty card with my details and verbally assured after-sales support. However, after the purchase, they became unresponsive when I tried to contact them regarding service support. They also refused to provide any official invoice or GST bill for the purchase.
On further investigation, I found several red flags. Firstly, the payment was made to a personal UPI account instead of a company account. Secondly, the Falcon Grinder carried a sticker mentioning "Diamond Enterprises, Thane East, Mumbai" as the distributor. But when I contacted that company, they confirmed they do not deal with any such grinder product. I also contacted the IndiaMART page linked to this product name, and they stated that they do not have any branch in Cuttack and all genuine products must have valid government-approved identifiers like barcodes and serial numbers, which these products lack.
When I confronted the sellers, they dismissed my concerns with emotional talk and continued to push me to buy more items like TVs at huge discounts. Upon asking for their higher authority’s contact or branch office number, they refused to provide any details. Even after warning them that I would file a police complaint, they showed no concern.
The contact numbers used by these individuals are +** ***** ***** and +** ***** *****. The transaction was made via PhonePe to UPI ID: **********@ybl. I have valid screenshots of the payment, photos of the products and packaging, the handwritten warranty card, and other supporting evidence.
This appears to be a clear case of fraud and misrepresentation, and I am requesting the concerned authority to take immediate action. I seek a proper investigation, appropriate legal steps, and a refund or resolution for the defective and potentially fake products sold to me. I am fully prepared to cooperate and provide all evidence required during the inquiry.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Surya Subhrajit,
