My vehicle, KL**BE****, was given to Popular Mega Motors in Manjeri for an overheating complaint. After they checked it, they said the engine was faulty and that the repair cost would be above **,***. They asked for an advance of **,*** to start the work. When I inquired at a local workshop, they said it wasn’t an engine failure, but just minor issues typical of a petrol vehicle. They said I should go to the showroom for repairs.
The service executive Salim at the showroom asked me about this, but he rejected the suggestion. He mentioned that without the advance payment, the vehicle would need to stay there for around ** days. Afterward, they were ready to take the vehicle for exchange, and the dealer Mithun contacted me. Once I understood the engine issue and other costs, they told me to pay the balance of **,***. I gave them the **,*** advance and agreed to pay the rest later.
However, even after ** days, I didn’t receive the funds. When I contacted them, they said the service center needed to receive the payment first. They told me that only after *,*** is paid, the remaining balance would be processed. But I was told that I could only make the payment by check.
Despite not taking the advance, they wouldn’t proceed with the work. Then, to find out where the money went, I contacted the service center for an inquiry. I realized that everyone was trying to take advantage of the situation. They had already paid the bill, and the engine wasn’t faulty at all. It was just a small complaint with the vehicle. Eventually, the vehicle was sold, and the person who bought it was supposed to pay the bill.
The bill was issued by a new staff member, and it was his fault that I got the bill. He had an issue with it after I had already received the bill. The staff at the showroom assured me that no one would know about this situation.
In total, they took ***,*** from me. I received a bill with no data or details. It was a bill for only *,***, but they took **,*** in advance, and I lost ** days of work. I feel that ordinary people like me are being taken advantage of, and I want justice. They shouldn’t deceive anyone else in this way. There is an original bill hidden, and I was asked to pay a bill with no details.
