VIPAL CIRIL RYOT filed complaint against Happyeasygo on Nov 26, 2018
This is in regard to the Trip ID **XXX********XXX** dated **rd November ****
Facts:-
*. Flight Booking was made for three passengers from Chandigarh to Pune via Delhi.
*. Booking was done through www.happyeasygo.com website.
*. The amount of fare as reflected by the website which is auto calculated after adding their Conveyance fees etc. the final payment was made through Debit Card and the amount was deducted accordingly.
*. The website after few hours i.e. at *:**AM, sent a non confirmation mail :-
Dear Passenger,
Greetings from happyeasygo!
We sincerely regret to inform you that we would not be able to confirm your ticket under the TripId: **XXX********XXX**.
Kindly give us the confirmation for cancellation and refund to the amount paid will be refunded to the same mode of payment used while making this reservation in **-** working Days.
We would appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
*. The Company intimated me through email at such a time when i would not check my email. They did not even try to intimate me through SMS or Phone Call even the next day i.e. **th November ****.
*. When i checked my e-mail account on **th November **** , i learnt about the company's Non confirmation of booking mail.
*.I called on Customer Care at *:** PM where i was promised a Call Back from the Superior Dispute Resolution Officers, But unfortunately this also did not prove to be right. I did not receive any phone call from their end.
*. I had to once again call on the customer care at *:**PM after waiting for ** min. as per the waiting time allotted to me, after that i was finally connected to one of the seniors, who again transferred my call to his senior, the call duration was approx. ** min. where most of the time i was on hold and finally told to pay the difference amount of the fare which was being calculated at the current rates. i.e. as on **th Nov **** at approx *:** pm. which i denied because why should i suffer because of negligence of the Company.
*. Thereafter i sent email on cs@happyeasygo.com on **th Nov, **** regarding the whole case but the company did not respond, I made another reminder on **th Nov **** to which again they did not respond, but i received a call where i was again asked to Confirm my Cancellation.
**. So far i have not been even given a Complaint Number.
Remedies Sought :-
*. I had to book tickets on **th Nov **** for which i had to pay an extra amount of Rs. *,***/- approx (Six Thousand Eight hundred and twenty four) The Invoice for the same is available and shall be submitted as and when required.
*. I made the payment as per the amount calculated by the company over which i have no control and the payment was made as per the amount calculated by the company after adding all taxes and their fees, i made the payment accordingly.
*. If the tickets were not confirmed due to fare hike why did the company Debit my account and retain my money. (Why did they accept my payment?)
(Why they did not decline my payment?) perhaps the fares increased at *:** AM and the company wanted to make extra money from me, or perhaps the company could not make timely payment to the airlines and the airlines refused to confirm the ticket and now happyeasygo want to shift their burden on me.
*. Why does Happyeasygo ask me of Confirmation for Cancellation. If the booking was not confirmed then what cancellation is the company asking me for.
*. As per their email they shall refund my amount within **-** working days. If the company says they have not sold me any tickets then why are they retaining my money in their account. Is it some kind of Scam where the Company keeps customers money in their account and earn interest or may be utilize elsewhere for the said period.
*. This act of the Company has caused me Harassment, Tension and financial loss.
It is humbly prayed for Justice.
