Indus Motors Maruti Suzuki Dealer in Kerala - False Insurance Claim by Vehicle Service Centre

On **/**/****, visited the premises of Indus Motors, Authorized Service Centre for Maruti Suzuki, Kootupatha, Palakkad, Kerala for repairing some simple scratches & dents on the bonnet hood of my Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza attributed on reversing a TATA ACE pickup truck loaded with aluminium channels in a traffic signal on **/**/**** at Guruvayur. The service Centre assessed an amount of app. Rs. ****/- for painting and denting which was agreed to do under insurance cover with New India Assurance Co.Ltd. They obtained my signature in blank claim form with an assurance that they will taken care of the claim process in all aspect. On **/**/****, the vehicle was taken delivery by paying the dues for an amount of Rs. *****/- excluding the charges for the above damages mentioned above which was said to be under claim process. While furnishing the tax invoices for the above payment, the service center also furnished the copy of a pre-invoice dated **/**/**** for an amount of Rs. ****/- including GST addressed to the insurance company being to be claimed for the damage. However, the service Centre is not ready to reveal anything about the claim settlement from the Insurance company even after repeated requests at various levels. Later it is evidently learnt that the above service Centre misused the blank claim form signed by me and the damages have been exaggerated in such manner to claim a higher amount of Rs. *****/- including tax from insurance company which was directly credited with Indus Motors on **/**/**** itself. It is clear evident that the service Centre staged a false claim on account of my policy schedule without my knowledge which morally damaged my reputation as well as created a long time financial damage to the resale value of my vehicle.
