duke 200 KTM - Engine Failure Bike Sold To ME
Muddhu Krishna Aithem filed complaint against duke 200 KTM on Nov 14, 2024
I bought a Duke *** in June ****, and shortly after, I noticed a small engine oil leak on the left side, where there’s a small hole. I took the bike back to the showroom within a few days, confirming that no other Duke had this issue. However, the manager kept dismissing my concerns, insisting that regular servicing would solve it. Over the first year, I repeatedly brought the bike in, but no one repaired it. Eventually, I complained to KTM (as I had previously), and they responded by replacing the engine head.
After another year, my bike stopped working. Thinking it might be a battery issue, I went to a local shop, but they said the battery was fine and suspected a sensor problem. When I took it back to the showroom, they said a clamp had gotten stuck in the engine and asked for an advance payment of **,***-**,*** rupees. I then contacted customer care, who raised a complaint on my behalf. I’m now uncertain about what to do next. The engine has a *-year warranty, and it’s only been *.* years since I bought the bike.
