The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University Chennai - Double payment debited for migration certificate Application
Kanthlal S K filed complaint against The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University Chennai on Nov 2, 2022
My wife, Sowmiya D.R., is a **** B.Sc. nursing graduate of the Sree Mookambika Institute of Nursing in Kulasekaram, which is a part of the Dr. M. G. R. University.
On October **, ****, at **:**, she attempted to apply for a migration certificate so that she may pursue a postgraduate degree at Amrita University.
Due to server problems, there were a few instances where payments failed, but she persisted in trying to finish the process. Finally, the payment was successfully completed and the application was submitted at **:**.
However, when we noticed the test message, we realized that multiple payments had been made even if the transaction at **:** had failed. (Usually, more than one application cannot be made for the same registration number.) Somehow, for a single process, two times as much money has been debited (Rs. *,*** rupees instead of Rs. ****)
When contacted, the respected bank acknowledged that the payment had been made twice.
We tried contacting the university for four days using each of the eight numbers shown on the website, but no one responding the call and also simply they are rejecting the calls without answering them. Such responses from a state Govt. medical university is unacceptable.
