IBPS examination - Didn t allow to take exam

This has reference to IBPS - PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION (CRP RRBs-X) FOR RECRUITMENT OF OFFICE ASSISTANTS(MULTIPURPOSE) IN REGIONAL RURAL BANKS.
I regret to inform you that I was not allowed to attend the exam of date *th August ****, for the reason that I had uploaded my left thumb impression instead of my signature, during online registration for the abovementioned examination.
Even though I had uploaded my thumb impression during registration, I had received call letter (dtd. **rd July ****) and confirmation on reporting time via email (*th August ****). Also I had already paid Rs.*** at the time of registration.
I strongly would like to know why I was not allowed to attend the exam, when I had received call letter and confirmation on reporting time.
Enclosed please find the call letter and email confirmation for reporting the exam.
