I am filing this complaint against Delhivery Courier Services for misleading service claims, unfair trade practices, and lack of customer support.
Delhivery offers a “faster shipping” option called "Express"and charged me Rs. ***, clearly advertising a *–* day delivery timeline at the time of booking. However, after the shipment is booked and payment is made, the transit status after promised date **-**-**** is arbitrarily changed to their standard delivery timeline of * days expected.
This practice is highly misleading and amounts to cheating the public by charging a premium for a service that is never actually delivered. If the company cannot meet the promised delivery timeline, it should not advertise or charge extra for faster shipping.
Customers are left helpless after booking, with no effective grievance redressal mechanism. This causes mental stress, inconvenience, and financial loss.
I request the concerned Consumer Forum to take necessary action against Delhivery for:
Misrepresentation of delivery timelines
Charging extra for services not rendered
Absence of effective customer grievance support.
Relief Sought:
Direct the Delhivery Courier to refund the excess amount charged for faster shipping.
Award compensation for mental harassment and inconvenience caused to me.
Impose penalty on the Opposite Party for misleading advertisements and unfair trade practices.
Direct Delhivery to improve its grievance redressal mechanism, including providing accessible customer support.
