Neeraj Bansal filed complaint against Adyaaye by Chandresh Ritessh on Feb 3, 2026
I, Mr. Neeraj Bansal, state the following facts:
*. I placed an order with M/s Adyaaye (hereinafter referred to as “the Opposite Party”) for three outfits, including a sherwani, a black designer outfit, and a white outfit, along with a dupatta, specifically for my wedding, making time and quality the essence of the contract.
*. The Opposite Party had committed that the sherwani would be delivered on **th January.
• On **th January, when I contacted them, I was informed that the sherwani had not yet been received by them.
• On **st January, I again contacted them and was given the same response.
*. On **nd January, I was assured by the Opposite Party that all three outfits would be ready and delivered by *:** PM, and I was specifically asked to visit the store after *:** PM.
*. Acting on this assurance, I visited the store at around *:** PM on **nd January. To my shock, I was informed that:
• Only two outfits were available.
• The third outfit had been wrongly dispatched to an incorrect warehouse location in Mumbai, due to the Opposite Party’s internal logistical error, and could not be delivered at all.
*. Since I was scheduled to travel the next day and the Opposite Party had already failed to provide the first trial on the promised date, I requested cancellation of the undelivered outfit and refund of the amount paid for the same.
*. The Opposite Party agreed to cancel the order, requested my bank account details for processing the refund, and I shared the same on **nd January itself. However, despite agreeing, the refund was never processed.
⸻
Defective and Misrepresented Sherwani
*. During the trial of the sherwani, I noticed that:
• The bottom was provided as a straight pant, whereas it was clearly discussed and agreed that the sherwani would be paired with a churidar.
• There were also minor fitting issues.
*. After I raised these concerns, the Opposite Party stated that they would stitch a new churidar, which caused further delay but I cooperated in good faith considering my wedding.
⸻
Severe Misrepresentation and Defect in Black Outfit
*. During the trial of the black outfit, I discovered that the design delivered did not match the design that was shown and selected at the time of booking.
**. Upon pointing this out, the Opposite Party assured me that the issue would be fully corrected by *:** PM the same day.
**. When I visited the store again at *:** PM, I found that instead of correcting the design properly:
• The decorative dori/rope was crudely fixed using Fevicol or a similar adhesive.
• The work was temporary, visibly patchy, and not a designer finish, clearly different from the original design shown to me.
**. When I objected, the Opposite Party assured me in writing and verbally that they would prepare a brand-new piece, matching the selected design exactly, and deliver it to my home address. Relying on this assurance, I agreed.
⸻
Wrong Delivery, Forced Collection, and Repeated Patchwork
**. Instead of delivering the outfit to my home address, the Opposite Party dispatched it to a wrong location, approximately **–** kilometers away from my residence.
**. Despite the mistake being entirely theirs, I was forced and pressured to personally travel and collect the outfit, causing mental stress, physical fatigue, and loss of time during my wedding period.
**. Upon collecting and inspecting the outfit, I discovered that:
• The Opposite Party had again performed patchwork instead of providing a new designer piece.
• Extra dori had been added and attached using adhesive, which was clearly visible and not a professional or designer-level finish.
• This amounted to misrepresentation, substandard service, and unfair trade practice.
⸻
Dupatta Delay
**. I had also ordered a dupatta, which the Opposite Party assured would be delivered on or before *th.
**. However, the shipment was sent via regular shipping, and the delivery tracking clearly shows an expected delivery date of *th, making it useless for my wedding, thereby defeating the purpose of the purchase.
⸻
Harassment, Threats, and Refusal to Refund
**. When I raised these genuine concerns, the Opposite Party:
• Became rude and aggressive,
• Started threatening that no refund would be given,
• Refused to refund the amount for the cancelled and undelivered outfit, despite earlier agreeing to do so,
• Refused to correct or refund the defective black outfit,
• Showed complete disregard for the urgency and emotional distress caused during my wedding.
**. The Opposite Party later sent a defensive legal-style reply, falsely accusing me of harassment, while deliberately suppressing material facts such as delivery delays, agreed cancellation and refund, design misrepresentation, forced collection, and defective workmanship.

I got my refund. You guys have really helped me when I needed it the most! Thanks again for your help :-)
